Good morning! I hope that everyone is having a blessed day! The weather is just about perfect! After a fun day yesterday, I went to bed with a sore throat & headache! Oh no....my plans for today all cancelled! I have to admit, the thought of Swine Flu went through my mind...looked it up and I think it is just something that blew in or just a cold. I haven't had fever yet.

I have so many projects going...ADD kicking in! Here is my list....

1. Advent calendar......have the baking sheet painted, have the paper...need the blocks of wood & magnets.
2. Sister's "Cat" quilt. Needs to be quilted & the binding sewn on.
3. Need to collect pinecones for my apothacary jar...for Thanksgiving.
4. Need to start my Father-in-Laws quilt. I have undone all of the ties, I need to sew the blocks together next.
5. Need a baby gif for our nephew and his wife's baby that is due in January.
6. Need to complete my plan for my friends Thanksgiving table I am helping to decorate. It has been fun looking for nice things on the cheap!
7.I need to make my friend Jean's curtains!
8. I need to make the dust ruffle and pillow sham and pillows for Lauren's room.
9. I need to make pillows for our den sofas.
10. I need to paint...the laundry room and make a curtain for the shelves.
11. J needs to finish painting the hallway and we nwwd to paint the front part of the house.

I could go on and on, as I am sure we all could.

Have a happy day!

Monday Madness

Monday started with me breaking my glasses and having to buy new ones! Why do lenses cost so much? I mean it's all a bunch of plastic isn't it? Hopefully they will be in soon, mine are a little hard to keep on my face.

From there I ran errands and saved $25 at CVS! Then I came home and cleaned house. I took the sofas apart and cleaned under the cushions and in the cracks and guess what I found? My James Avery "Hope, Faith & Love" bracelet that my man gave me for our anniversary the year I was going through chemo. It has been missing since late August. I thought it was gone for good and they don't make one like it anymore! Thank you God!

I have been enjoying afternoon coffee with my gracious neighbor. It is becoming a wonderful treat in the afternoons! We have both gotten the Pioneer Woman's Cookbook. We have been debating what I am going to fix first. I think that it might be.....I just can't decide! It is such an beautiful cookbook, I can't wait to get started.

Have a blessed evening!

What a Beautiful Day

Good afternoon! What a beautiful day! I havenjoyed a walk with my friend & neighbor this morning. It was nice to catch up. I showered & got ready, took the Brandy and WIlson, ran a couple of errands then went up to our wonderful church facilities and sat by the pond and did my Bible study and walked Brandy & Wilson around. They loved it! What a special place to read about our Lord and Saviour!

I am still waiting to hear from MD Anderson. I guess I should call, but I can't quite get myself to do it, if it was bad, they would have already had me back up there! Prayers are still needed!

I found this consignment store a few years ago. They have moved into a nicer place and.
really made it a lovely shop. I have found a cute chair for my desk there, along with a few crystal/cut glass pieces for my friend for an early Christmas (so she can use it THanksgiving).I am telling you, it is fun to find a good deal. This should be my job, to find good deals and then resell them.

I love our neighbors...we have the best street in our neighborhood! It is a cul-d-sac and we have about 5 or 6 families that enjoy watching the children play and visit. If you need anything, they are always there!

Sorry for all of the rambling today...my ADD is kicking in I guess.

Have a blessed afternoon!

Monday Madness

Good afternoon! I was slow getting going this morning, I think guess it was the gloomy day. I am going now. I went to the store and junking at Good Will. I found a pretty basket and crystal compote. The compote completes my collection, I now have three, I paid about $10 for all of them together. I love finding good junk! I am now painting my two small shelves for my sitting room/office. If I ever figure out how to post pictures I will show you the final result.

I have been very motivated creatively after reading many of the blogs. However, I need to get my sisters quilt finished and get my Father-in-Law's quilt started! Christmas isn't that far away.

I am asking for prayers for the results of my MRI to be good and to find a job that will suit me and will be where God wants me. I want to be a shining example to all and be where He wants me, where I can do the most good.

Have a Blessed afternoon!

My First Blog

Thank you to a wonderfully patient friend,Kay, I am able to have a cute blog and know what to do with it (kind of). Today was a beautiful day...God is so good! I had an MRI at MD Anderson and since my Prince is in Canada, my oldest (since I was 2 yrs.old)forever friend went with me. I am a bit clausterphobic and I have to have someone with me. After my Prince, she is my first choice as hospital/Dr. buddy. I don't know what I would do with out her. I am so blessed she has always been there for me and I cherish our relationship! After waiting for hours, they were running late, surprise, surprise,I went in about 3:30 and had to lie down on my stomach at an odd angle chest & legs up with my "girls" in plastic tubes! It helped that there was a place for my face and I had a mirror to look out and see Sue's eyes. What a comfort! Thank you to all my dear friends for your prayers.I feel like I am wrapped in your ribbons of love!
